EnviroSmart has a current need for a full-time Facility Maintenance Manager on a facility operation support services contract at a Federal law enforcement training facility in Cheltenham, MD. Facility consists of multiple administrative, training, and support structures spread over a 300+ acre campus. Infrastructure and assets include indoor firing ranges and associated target, bullet trap, and ventilation systems; building structural components such as roofing and flooring; real property installed equipment such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, conveyance, and life safety systems; HVAC systems including boilers, chillers, and roof top units; and fuel systems including storage tanks.

Position Duties:

  • Developing and maintaining infrastructure improvement and maintenance plans;
  • Performing facility inspections to provide comprehensive facility condition assessments;
  • Overseeing completion of complex infrastructure or asset repair/replacement projects with in-house staff or subcontractors;
  • Planning work activities, developing budgets, and expending funds within established limits to meet maintenance goals;
  • Supervising the work of skilled trades and general maintenance workers;
  • Reviewing and approving subcontractor proposals; and
  • Overseeing the quality of services and products provided

Required Eligibility Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Facility Maintenance Manager, preferably at a facility of comparable size and complexity;
  • Experience in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS);
  • Ability to secure a Government clearance in a timely manner – requires a CLEAN background history;
  • Proficiency using MS Office (including MS Word and Excel) and excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • High level of professionalism for client interaction;
  • Expertise with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or other building systems is highly desirable;
  • Certification in one of the skilled trades such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing work is a plus but not required; and
  • Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of US Government facilities is also a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage costs and control schedule
  • Excellent knowledge of safety requirements
  • Ability to coach, lead and motivate multinational and multi-disciplined employees
  • Shows leadership, concise execution of plans, vision of project future, and effective communication of vision to subordinates
  • Integrity and strong communication skills
