Assistant Business Support Manager - Education

Business Support Team

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and resilient Assistant Business Manager within our Education Business Support Team.

In a role where no two days are the same, you will support the Business Manager in managing a team of Business Support Leads in developing and delivering an effective and efficient service to ensure the smooth running of all activities across Children’s Services education team.

The post holder will:

  • Lead a comprehensive business support service across our Education Services
  • Support the Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team in reviewing, creating and implementing processes to continue to drive the service forward
  • Work closely with the Business Manager and senior managers and practitioners to develop the business support service
  • Use your well-honed skills in communication and the leadership of teams to ensure a well-functioning and professional team across our sites
  • Support on the Health and Safety aspects for Children’s Services and manage a range of projects and oversee these to ensure progression and completion
  • Work with the Business Manager to oversee the recruitment administration for children’s services education
  • Manage budgets within the remit of the role around staffing, resources and buildings
  • Lead on the statutory requests around management and security of data such as GDPR, Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information Requests

You will have significant experience in managing teams as well as success in leading and implementing process change.

You will also have:

  • Educated to Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent).
  • Extensive knowledge of school and local authority based policies and practice.
  • Significant experience of successfully delivering against and organisational targets, objectives and/or services.
  • Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrable communication and influencing skills.
  • The ability to remain calm, effective and flexible whilst working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proven leadership experience and team building skills to build a collaborative team of resilient leaders.

This role offers hybrid working where you will be required to work at least three days per week in the office.
