How You’ll Help Us Grow…

In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our product offerings and driving increased customer value across our portfolio. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive product strategy and ensure successful product launches and product lifecycle management.Bridging the gap between technical development and market needs, you will ensure that our products meet customer requirements while aligning with our business goals. Your focus will be on enhancing our business intelligence platform in ways that add value for our subscribers.

The Lawyer currently operates hybrid working, with a minimum of two days per week (Wednesday and Friday) attendance in the Waterloo office for face-to-face meetings and team catch-ups.

A Day In The Life Of…

Product vision and strategy and market expertise

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business goals
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to inform product direction
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments and capabilities across The Lawyer’s product portfolio

Roadmap development

  • Create and manage the product roadmap to expand the use cases for The Lawyer’s content and data, develop new products and continuously improve UX
  • Work closely with technology, design, research and data teams to execute the roadmap

Stakeholder collaboration

  • Maintain a deep understanding of internal stakeholders and processes
  • Engage with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, operations, editorial) to align development efforts with customer needs and market opportunities
  • Bridge communication gaps between technical and non-technical teams

UX

  • Understand user and customer needs and pain points through interviews, surveys and data analysis
  • Represent the voice of the customer within The Lawyer: advocate for exceptional user experiences and iterate based on feedback

Product launch & optimisation

  • Plan and coordinate product launches, ensuring smooth execution
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and success of product development initiatives
  • Monitor product performance, analyse metrics, iterate to improve user engagement and satisfaction

Market trends & industry insights

  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Leverage data & insights to enhance our offerings.

What We Need You To Have…

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills
  • Proven project management experience
  • Previous experience in business intelligence and in digital implementation
  • Proven ability to analyse market trends and customer needs to drive product innovation
  • Complex stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft tools, including Office Suite
  • Previous experience of WordPress environments is desirable
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools
  • Supportive and helpful, and model best practice behaviours
  • You ensure things get done, accurately and on time
