The job

At Studyclix, we always have a lot of content on the go, whether it's exam questions and marking schemes, sample essays, podcasts, flashcards, tutorial videos, learning paths, you name it, there's always something new we are working on or making sure is as good as it can be. We are looking for someone who is excited at the prospect of leading the maintenance and improvement of our existing content, as well as driving innovation of new content work.

The job is a fixed 1-year contract to support our existing content team fulfill our projects for the next 12 months.

As Studyclix's content manager, some of your duties will include:

  • Helping to research and define what content is created and included in project scopes.
  • Collaborating with content creators and designers to produce digital content such as educational videos,articles, flashcards, etc. in Ireland, South Africa and Australia.
  • Recruiting and supporting freelance content creators to help deliver projects.
  • Reviewing, proofing and testing digital content before launch for language accuracy and usability.
  • Delegating work to other team members and keeping the processes and workflow moving.
  • Directing and participating in the formatting, proofreading and uploading of our content to the relevant platforms.
  • Communicating project updates with the team and identifying/finding solutions to roadblocks.
  • Collaborating with social media, development, and marketing teams (note, however, that this is not a content creation role within social media).
  • Writing creative briefs, drafting schedules, creating budget estimates and tracking financial information about projects.
  • Project-managing content sub-projects (project may be based in Ireland, South Africa or Australia or may spanall three markets).
  • Enabling us to deliver our internationalisation strategy. Studyclix software is standard across each market but we become relevant in each market using standardised processes to create localised, effective educational content.
  • Continually looking for ways for the content team to operate more effectively and implement scalable cross-market processes.
  • Reporting to Head of Product.

  • Detail-oriented - you pay close attention to all of the small particulars when working on a project and have an eye for spotting when something isn't perfect so that you create high-quality work with little to no errors.
  • Creative and innovative - you like to suggest new ideas to the team.
  • Responsible: you have excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • A good leader: you know how-to guide, be assertive and empathetic.
  • Excellent writer: highly skilled in creating written content and having the correct usage of written English.
  • Very familiar with the Irish Leaving Certificate (has sat it and can empathise with the experience).

Must-haves

  • Proficiency in Google products (Docs, Slides, Sheets etc.) as well as Microsoft Office (OneNote, Powerpoint, Word, Excel).
  • BA/BS degree completed in the last 4 years.
  • Project management experience (evidence of having organised something before e.g. professional or college project, society project or event, personal project).

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluent in Irish
  • Experience in graphic design or a creative sector
  • Experience in copyediting

Candidates must have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
