Area Sales Representative - Piping Systems/Valves/Mechanical Fittings
The Area Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth within a designated geographic area, with a particular focus on piping systems, mechanical fittings, and valves. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the water and gas industry, preferably with experience working with distributors. A background as an ex-service engineer within the water or gas safety field would be desirable, as would a mechanical engineering background.
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets within the assigned territory.
Identify and prospect new business opportunities, focusing on key customers, contractors, and distributors involved in the water and gas industry.
Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to customers, highlighting the features, benefits, and technical specifications of piping systems, mechanical fittings, and valves.
Gather market intelligence, staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously improve products and optimise sales strategies.
Prepare sales forecasts, track sales performance, and provide regular reports to management, outlining progress against goals and identifying areas for improvement.
Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events to promote products, establish new connections, and enhance brand visibility.
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, certifications, and standards related to piping systems, mechanical fittings, and valves in the water and gas sector.
Proven sales experience in the water and gas industry, preferably with a focus on piping systems, mechanical fittings, and valves.
Strong technical knowledge of piping systems, mechanical fittings, and valves in the water and gas industry.
Background as an ex-service engineer within the water or gas safety field would be desirable.
Mechanical engineering background would be advantageous.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
