The Head of People will play a crucial role in shaping the organisational culture and ensuring that the company's most valuable asset, our people, are empowered to thrive. They will collaborate closely with other leaders to develop and execute strategies that support the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent. By fostering a positive employee experience and providing the necessary resources and support, they contribute to the overall success and performance of the organisation.

Reporting directly to the CEO underscores the significance of this role in driving the company's mission and objectives forward. We are an ambitious business with huge growth plans which will include both increases in headcount and evolving management structures. This person needs to be comfortable and experienced in working with board members and investors.The Head of People’s responsibilities include:

  • Leadership: As a member of the leadership team, they actively contribute to shaping the company's vision and strategy, offering insights on how people and culture initiatives can align with overarching goals.

  • Strategy: They develop and execute comprehensive talent strategies covering the entire employee lifecycle, focusing on enhancing performance, fostering development, boosting engagement, and ensuring retention of top talent.

  • Coaching: They provide guidance and support to employees at all levels, fostering trust and rapport, and offering coaching particularly in areas such as executive leadership development and employee relations.

This is not a remote role, the candidate will need to be onsite and present in the business, either living in or commuting daily to Leeds or able to relocate on appointment.
