Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief of Staff to join the team and support our newly appointed CEO.This role plays a vital support function to the new CEO of Taylor & Francis Group, actively contributing to the successes of the group through adept project management, thorough data analysis, pro-active follow up and fostering relationships among key stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other stakeholders in the design, communication and delivery of the relevant business strategy, ensuring these are executed successfully.
  • Proactively engage in driving delivery of key initiatives and projects, responding to business requests, and contributing to the development and tracking of objectives and priorities.
  • Maintain a rigorous follow up process, driving for timely completion of actions and activities, providing regular updates to the required stakeholders.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, creative thinking and driving initiatives to explore and implement novel solutions that propel the organisation forward in a rapidly evolving landscape.
  • Facilitate close collaboration and coordination with T&F’s business groups and across various Informa divisions and functions to maximise synergies and leverage resources effectively.
  • Efficiently manage the agenda and annual calendar of ELT meetings in partnership with the Executive Assistant to the CEO, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Collaborate with the ELT to create / develop presentations for board meetings and other senior stakeholder groups, representing key projects and conveying strategic insights effectively.
  • Track and monitor business requests, as well as the development and progress of objectives and priorities within the CEO office.
  • Ensure oversight of projects that may not neatly fit within specific departments or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility, maintaining oversight and momentum of cross-functional goals.
  • Act as a researcher and analyst, gathering business insights from a variety of data sources to inform strategic decision-making and provide valuable business and people related information.
  • Consolidate strategic insights into compelling presentations and documents to be presented at quarterly meetings, enabling informed discussions and driving organisational alignment and action
Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Exceptional oral, written and presentation communication skills, enabling effective interaction across various channels and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to strategically influence and motivate to ensure the achievement of exceptional results.
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to recalibrate strategies when necessary whilst thriving under pressure and adeptly prioritise important tasks. Have a proven history of accomplishing objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Possess a high EQ coupled with strong interpersonal and influencing skills to foster collaboration and unite individuals towards shared objectives.
  • Working knowledge of Academic Publishing and a strong understanding of Informa’s operations.
  • Proven track record of successfully engaging with senior management, showcasing the ability to communicate effectively at C-Suite level.
  • Aptitude for analytical thinking and readiness to take ownership of high-level initiatives.
  • Hold intellectual curiosity and refined research capabilities to navigate and comprehend complex information and data insights.
  • Be highly numerate, with a skill set to interpret and analyse budgets, project plans & financial targets.
  • Initiative driven mindset, with a propensity for independent problem solving.
  • Proficient in digital skills with a knowledge of modern business communication and analytical platforms.
