Your role will involve close collaboration with various teams and senior stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality submissions that meet client needs.
Youll become part of a team that values precision, efficiency, and collaboration and your contribution will be pivotal in securing new business and enhancing the bid response process.
In this role youll be working with a range of customers within markets including Oil & Gas, Defence, Ocean Science and Renewables.
The Role Bid Writing and CoordinationCompile, edit, and proofread commercial proposals containing technical content and designs, ensuring they are presented professionally and concisely.Review and revise documents prepared by others, coordinating the preparation of these materials into completed bid documents.Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to clearly communicate the scope and timeline of new bids to customers, ensuring alignment with their expectations and project requirements.Lead and coordinate the bid preparation process, ensuring that contributors provide timely and high-standard information that meets client needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Degree qualified (not essential) with a proven background of working in an Engineering or Technical environment.Proven writing experience in a technical authoring field, ideally with a background in EngineeringStrong technical awareness, including an understanding of internet/network-based solutions.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and guide less experienced personnel.Substantial experience using MS Office, including Word and PowerPointExceptional communication skills, particularly in written English (grammar, spelling, and vocabulary)Ability to understand technical concepts and tender questions, providing clear and concise responses under tight deadlines and challenging targets. Team-oriented and proactive in prioritizing workload and assigned responsibilities.Able to work efficiently within tight timescales, particularly when developing proposals.
