London, United Kingdom Digital Theatre Full time

Publishing Operations Associate - Digital Theatre

This is an early to mid career post, perfect for someone entering their second job or wanting to explore a new industry with relevant skills.

Who are we?

Digital Theatre+ stands at the forefront of English and Drama/Theatre arts education for middle school, high school and higher education. As the premier on-demand platform for the performing arts, we offer a stunning digital collection of live performances, behind-the-scenes insights, interviews with industry leaders, and curriculum-linked resources. We’re available to over 10 million students across 3,500 institutions worldwide. Now, we invite you to be a part of our mission: to elevate our Education Platform for the Arts, ensuring every teacher can inspire and every student can thrive.

Digital Theatre operates a hybrid working model. Whilst you will have access to an office, you will have added flexibility to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance. The role is a full time permanent role.

Who are you?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Content Operations Lead to join our Education Team and support the timely and efficient publication of all English and Theatre resources to Digital Theatre+. We’re looking for a real team player who will work collaboratively to ensure that digital content is high quality and easy to find. You will be committed to meeting the highest editorial standards, with a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills to reach targets and deadlines. You should be comfortable preparing metadata, writing copy, working with the CMS, and talking with stakeholders inside and outside of the business.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead on several content discoverability projects, each looking at new and intuitive ways to surface content in the Digital Theatre+ library
  • Publish excellent content informed by customer needs using a bespoke CMS
  • Support the Director of Content and Content Operations Manager in reaching targets and deadlines, and assist with streamlining the publishing process
  • Source, contract, brief and manage freelance editors and designers
  • Copyedit, proofread and format educational materials
  • Write engaging copy using in-house style and prepare metadata and materials ready for publication
  • Work with the Technology and Product departments to optimise the presentation of content on the platform and enhance user journeys
  • Work on licensed publishing projects, developing relationships with external partners
  • Represent the publishing team within the wider business, ensuring each department has the knowledge they need to succeed

You have:

  • Proven digital publishing experience, ideally within EdTech
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Experience using a Content Management System
  • Experience gathering market research
  • Although not essential, experience in enhancing user journeys through a website or ensuring that content is discoverable is desirable
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Company benefits

  • Work-life balance: Enjoy 25 days of holiday, plus bank holidays and an extra day off for your birthday
  • Flexibility: We offer flexible working hours and a hybrid model of working
  • Supporting parents: We offer enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Wellbeing: 24/7 access to an EAP wellbeing platform and counselling
  • Social: Social committee that runs company-wide events, as well as quarterly team socials
  • Other benefits include access to training courses for personal/professional development, access to Perkbox platform and free subscription to Calm App

Applications will be considered without regard to education, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, colour, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs.
