Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Project Team: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the project team and the design team, resolving any design-related construction queries.
  • Leadership: Exhibit strong management qualities to promote teamwork and collaborative working between the design team and the construction team, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Project Understanding: Comprehend project requirements, including the client's brief, business processes, and employer requirements.
  • Risk Mitigation: Assist in identifying and mitigating design risks as part of the project team.
  • Meetings: Participate in design coordination and progress meetings with the design team and subcontractors, ensuring that design risk assessments are produced.
  • Timeline Management: Work with stakeholders to create and manage a realistic design timeline and information schedule.
  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for the implementation of Continuous Improvement strategies and innovation.
  • Design Validation: Ensure that all designs undergo thorough review and validation to meet compliance standards.
  • Health and Safety: Address design intricacies and mitigate health and safety concerns.


Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in architecture and a keen interest in transitioning into the construction environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, design coordination, and project management.
