TAG is currently recruiting for a Senior Sales Consultant on behalf of our client, a market-leading pensions and investment consultancy seeking an experienced sales professional who will play a crucial role in growing their Wealth business by generating sales opportunities through a blend of self-initiated and business-driven initiatives.

What can you expect:


  • Working as part of our client’s Wealth business, this is a challenging and demanding role, which will require the candidate to create sales opportunities from a combination of initiatives, some self-developed, others instigated by the wider business.
  • You will have the ability to network effectively, being adept at building and developing relationships from new contacts and develop your own opportunities from cold prospects.
  • You will distil complex ideas from the UK business into solutions for prospects.


Key responsibilities:


  • Create and manage client prospect pipelines to ensure sufficient levels of sales opportunities to deliver required revenue for the Defined Benefit (DB) Wealth business
  • Create opportunities from company-sponsored events (seminars, workshops, trustee clubs, social media campaigns, etc.)
  • Devise, plan and set strategy for sales-related activities
  • Undertake initial “first” meetings with prospects
  • Convert prospect meetings into sales opportunities
  • Manage and develop relationships with prospects
  • Lead and own client projects and relationships from post sales to ongoing delivery
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of industry developments with a focus on DB issues
  • Support the team in the delivery of projects
  • Interact effectively with Bid, Proposition and Marketing teams to maximise successful sales


Essential experience:


  • Proven sales experience within financial or professional services
  • A consultative sales approach
  • Proven ability to develop and initiate strategies for revenue and client account growth
  • Strong understanding of sales and business acumen
  • Expertise in building, maintaining and effectively managing a sales pipeline
  • Ability to accurately forecast sales results

  • Proven track record of devising, adapting and successfully implementing sales plans
  • Previous Sales Force experience advantageous
