We are a leading provider of specialist environmental, GIS, data services. We have experts in Environment, Climate Change and Sustainability sectors who together provide information / data that multinational utilities, property asset managers, architectural and building practices use regularly.


Business is buoyant and we are now looking for an ambitious person take on the role of Sales and Marketing Director to help reach our next stage of growth.


The successful candidate will be a B2B Senior Sales / Marketing person already, able to set strategy, build sales channels, lead from the front and able to make a big impact on the business.


The company has PhD level technical skills - what they need is the B2B Sales / Business Development, Customer focus, Marketing experience to complement their existing team. You will have first class communication skills, able to pick up information / new technology quickly and who is entrepreneurial. This position is ideal for a proactive person who enjoys building strong client relationships and helping to solve client problems.


This is a pivotal role, he/she will be the face of the company, responsible for the sales & marketing strategy, managing a sales & marketing team of 10, being hands on with clients and collaborating with other internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales strategies to achieve business and sales goals
  • Provide coaching to sales people on the company's sales strategies
  • Monitor industry trends and market competitors to support sales goals
  • Assist marketing team in developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns
  • Provide forecasts to leadership for sales and marketing organisations
  • Keep pace with sales technology (AI) and platforms


Background

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' managing teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sector experience in either: Built Environment, Contaminated Land, Data, EIA, Engineering Consulting, Environmental, Flood, GIS - Geographic Information Systems, Property Asset Management, Software, Spatial Data, Sustainability, Utilities, Water or similar.
