Business Development Manager
The Role: The brand new Business Development Manager position is a strategic growth role for our client who are a well-established, and well-known, regional player in the crane hire world. As a Business Development Manager you will be targeting end user business within Main Contractors and M&E Contractors across the South East, as well as Nationally, to source new projects where specialist, mobile crane hire is required. These projects are across construction, renewables, civils, utilities, and manufacturing end users. You will be selling either contract lifting service solutions or simply the service of operated crane hire.
This Business Development Manager role will be very focussed on new business, however you will also have the remit of building and implementing a sales process for the business to follow for years to come. This is a new venture for our client who have growth plans across the next five years in which they want a Business Development Manager to spear-head that growth trajectory
The Business Development Manager will be commutable to their head office based in Colchester where you will be once or twice a week with the rest of your time either being in the field or working from home. Your core market will be within 100 miles of Colchester, but you will be able to, and expected to, find lucrative contract lift hire contracts nationally.
The Company: Our client are a 50 year old organisation based in the South East who are well known within the crane hire world. They’re very well respected and have great values which put their people first. They are a very environmentally conscious business and as such want like minded people to drive the business forward and take their solutions to a wider market.
We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Business Development track-record within the construction industry
- Have a track record with new business and account management
- Have ideally sold a technical construction solution
- Full & Clean Driving licence
- Are verse in selling direct to end users
- Commutable to Colchester
- Part-time contracts (pro-rata salary) opportunity depending on experience
Salary: Between £40k-50k basic salary DOE - £10k-20k Bonus (£60k OTE) + company car (hybrid or electric), 23 days + stats + pension + healthcare + life insurance
