Position Overview:

Your role involves developing, implementing, and reporting on both proactive and reactive marketing campaigns and strategies across multiple channels for our customers and suppliers whilst working closely with the Marketing Manager. This position may also require additional duties and overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Marketing:

  • Develop and manage targeted marketing campaigns and strategies to promote our key product categories.
  • Utilise customer data, feedback, and other campaigns to identify opportunities for improved campaigns and promotions.
  • Analyse business types when planning a campaign to capture the target audience.
  • Adopt a full-channel approach to campaigns including digital channels as well as providing assets to the branches when suitable.
  • Execute product focused strategies to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.

Social Media Marketing:

  • Execute social media platforms, including content creation, filming, editing, and posting.
  • Utilise Capcut and Canva to create engaging content aligned with trends and topical themes.
  • Differentiate content strategies for each platform to maximise engagement and success.

Email Marketing:

  • Develop, track, and optimise email marketing campaigns.
  • Analyse email performance metrics to improve future campaigns.
  • Create compelling email copy and collateral.

Supplier Partnership Opportunities:

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to understand their marketing needs and objectives, working to their available budget and planning joint campaigns that promotes both Oceanair and the supplier brand with clear objectives and KPI’s.
  • Align supplier marketing campaigns and activities with the marketing calendar.
  • Align supplier marketing plans with key business objectives.

Product Knowledge:

  • Understand Oceanair's product offerings and the needs of our target market.
  • Communicate product benefits effectively through marketing materials.

Additional Duties:

  • Support marketing of new branch openings, to consider local markets.
  • Manage various administrative tasks related to marketing initiatives, including budget management and project coordination.
  • Travel to branches and other locations will be required, which may involve overnight stays.
  • Take ownership of specific marketing software and tools, ensuring their effective use to help achieve marketing objectives.
  • Point of Sale (POS) generation.

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a marketing role.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.

Desired:

  • Experience in building, executing, and evaluating email marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Capcut and Canva.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to take on tasks outside of the usual scope as needed.
