Olympus are hiring for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join the Olympus Surgical Devices & Surgical Endoscopy business unit covering the North of England


What is the purpose of this position?


This post is accountable for the leadership of a direct sales team responsible for the promotion of the relevant Olympus SD/SE portfolio n the North of England


Key Result Areas


  • Sales revenue and gross margin for region (measured monthly)
  • Manage relevant customer concerns in line with quality objectives, close with customer (15 days), close investigation (60 days) (measured quarterly)
  • Produce a quarterly regional report for the Business Unit Manager detailing any significant changes in competition and hospital activity (measured quarterly)
  • Timely and accurate provision of sales forecast to the Business Unit Manager twice per month (measured monthly)
  • Improvement in Customer Satisfaction for the Business area (NPS Annually)
  • Monthly review of the region’s performance in line with the BU strategy with clear measurables tracking the implementation and progress of the strategy (reviewed monthly) Regional HCPE engagement (reviewed quarterly)


What are the key responsibilities of this position?


  • Leadership of sales team in line with the Olympus principles of Sales Force Effectiveness to meet the sales targets, drive growth and customer satisfaction
  • Undertake coaching activities to build talent and improve the skills of the team to meet and exceed performance objectives. Facilitates and creates opportunities for team members to learn and grow.
  • Managing customer requirements to deliver net sales and gross profit against target for their region
  • Lead and fully adopt the key principles of the Company’s compliance standards
  • Feedback local market trends to Business Unit Manager to drive operational excellence and an enhanced customer experience
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers to align and deliver a regional account plan taking ownership of all respective actions
  • Supporting implementation of ‘Go To Market’ business unit strategy
  • Ensure effective use of CRM system to provide optimal & accurate pipeline & sales forecasting information to the Business Unit Manager
  • On boarding new employees through the implementation of relevant training plan in collaboration with the Commercial Development Coordinator


What skills are required?


  • Possess high level capability in the field of Medical Device sales preferably with +3 years’
  • In-depth working knowledge of the UK NHS, provider environment.
  • A proven track record in the field of Medical Product/Service Sales.
  • Experienced in effectively engaging with all levels of stakeholders & proactive cross team collaboration
  • Previous management experience
