My client, an engineering and logistics business, is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join them on a fixed term to cover maternity leave. This role will ideally be based in Newcastle.

This is a varied, fast-paced and autonomous role with a mix or strategic and operational responsibilities, and offers an opportunity to join an organisation committed to supporting its employees.

Supporting your own client groups, you will be joining a fellow HR Business Partner and will work closely with the Senior Management Team.

Senior HR Business Partner responsibilities:

  • HR business partnering throughout the full employee life cycle
  • Effectively partner with key stakeholders
  • Coach and support managers to effectively manage and develop employees
  • Help to drive employee engagement with leadership teams
  • Support on complex employee relations cases
  • Administration of the HR systems and records, with some administration support
  • Ensure that HR processes are followed by all managers and employees.
  • Manage and deliver HR Projects, initiatives and programmes.

Requirements:

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • 6 years+ generalist HR experience in fast-paced HR function, ideally within a business partnering model
  • Strategic experience in terms of change management, HR projects and overall people strategy execution
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law / legislation
  • Solid Employee Relations experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Package:

  • Salary of circa £55k depending on experience, plus excellent benefits. If you think that you’d be a great fit for this role but have slightly higher salary expectations, I’d still love to hear from you
