This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leader in B2B publishing and conferences as a Senior Events Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for a high-value global portfolio of international Conferences & Award, within the Global Energy & Infrastructure sector.
There will also be opportunities to travel to these events in the US, Middle East & Europe (c2-3 times per year on average).
Requirements:
- Ideally 3+ years of B2B Events marketing experience, preferable with experience in conferences and awards
- Demonstrates effective collaboration with other brands/teams and embraces new ideas, systems, projects or processes
- Client facing and a strong communicator
- Track record of successfully designing and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Experience using some of Marketo, Salesforce, Sprinkler, LinkedIn, CVent, CMS systems, Canva, basic Photoshop, HTML creation
- Working knowledge of Excel and Google Analytics
- Copywriting and content editing experience
- Experience in the commercialization of events including launch events
- Ability to work closely with sales and align marketing strategy to commercial objectives
- Thorough knowledge of customer analytics and ability to convert data into meaningful insight
- Experience managing and developing high-performing marketing plans/projects. With complete post event/project reporting.
- Willingness to develop knowledge both within the marketing discipline and the industries we serve
- A proven record of testing, measuring and evaluating marketing channels to optimise spend and demonstrate ROI
Reporting to the Event Director, your responsibilities will be to:
- Execute and deliver effective marketing campaigns for Awards and Events products, with a focus on digital channels such as social media and email marketing
- Manage and control the marketing budget for each event campaign
- Oversee the creation of high-quality brand and campaign assets, working with in-house and external designers
- Build and manage databases, ensuring to keep data up to date, targeted and relevant for every event campaign
- Design and execute sophisticated content marketing campaigns that promote brand awareness that strengthen client relationships
- Manage a telesales campaign to ensure that delegate revenue targets are met
- Create weekly marketing reports and delegate revenue forecasting reports
- Work closely with sales and align marketing strategy to commercial objectives
- Liaise with the event operations team to ensure the correct on-site marketing deliverables
- Work with customer service to ensure a seamless customer experience on-site
- Keep events and awards websites up to date with relevant and accurate event information
