We’re based in Brighton Marina in our modern, open-plan office. We’re surrounded by cafes, restaurants, shops and bars, and we’re right next to the busy yacht harbour.


We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven SaaS Sales Manager to lead our sales team and generate revenue through their own sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in SaaS sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. This role is critical to our growth strategy, focusing on driving revenue, expanding our customer base, and ensuring customer satisfaction.


If successful, you’ll become an integral part of our 40-strong team – and an investment-backed SaaS business experiencing strong year-on-year expansion.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Set clear sales targets and KPIs, and ensure team accountability
  • Lead by example by embracing ongoing learning and skill development and develop a culture of innovation and experimentation within the sales team


Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies and optimise go-to-market approaches


Customer Acquisition and pipeline management:

  • Drive new business growth through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building
  • Drive the sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying leads generated through marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with sales representatives to ensure timely follow-up on leads and opportunities generated through marketing initiatives
  • Track and report on pipeline metrics, including conversion rates, win rates, and pipeline velocity


Performance Management:

  • Monitor and analyse sales metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, results, and forecasts
  • Implement and manage sales tools and technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the sales team and hold them accountable for results
  • Ensure the highest data standards and sales administration tasks are adhered to


Market Intelligence:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments
  • Provide feedback to the product team on customer needs and market opportunities


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with overall company strategies
  • Provide feedback to marketing team on the effectiveness of messaging, content, and campaigns based on insights gathered from customer interactions


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SaaS sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools (ideally HubSpot)
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and market dynamics
