  • Technical knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, building materials, and relevant industry standards, with a focus on identifying potential defects and compliance issues in existing builds, assisting with the information required to create FRAEW’s and other documents
  • Investigation management: Organising and overseeing detailed investigations into existing building conditions, coordinating with engineers, surveyors, and other specialists, in addition to organising labour, plant and materials.
  • Data collection and analysis: Gathering critical information from site inspections, surveys, and historical data, analysing findings to identify key issues and trends and issuing relevant information to other stakeholders
  • Stakeholder communication: Effectively communicating investigation findings to project managers, design teams, and clients, ensuring all relevant parties are informed.
  • Report compilation: Producing clear, comprehensive reports that summarise investigation outcomes, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Compliance: Ensuring investigations and reports adhere to current building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Organisational skills: Managing multiple investigations simultaneously, prioritising tasks and ensuring timely completion of reports.
  • Technical tools & software: Proficiency in data management software, report writing tools, and project management platforms.
  • Continuous learning: Staying updated with the latest industry developments, building techniques, and regulatory changes to inform investigation processes.
