Police Staff Investigator PIP Level 1

We are seeking an experienced Police Staff Investigator to join our team in Portsmouth. As a Police Staff Investigator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our front-line officers with investigative activities, including statement taking, CCTV review, suspect interviewing, and file building.
This is a non-case-holding role, and you will work closely with our Criminal Investigation Departments and current investigators to deal with serious and complex crimes. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing evidence, conducting interviews, and preparing reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of working in an investigatory type role, ideally with a working knowledge and experience of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
