About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Police Staff Investigator to join our team in Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary. As a Police Staff Investigator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our front-line officers with a wide range of investigative activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Statement taking and securing
  • Reviewing CCTV footage
  • Suspect interviewing
  • Offences Taken into Consideration (TIC's)
  • Intelligence interviews
  • File building and disclosure declarations

You will work closely with our Criminal Investigation Department and be part of a professional and dedicated team carrying out a wide variety of investigations.

About You

We are looking for individuals with proven experience in an investigatory role, ideally with a working knowledge and experience of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Qualified to PIP 1 or 2 or equivalent
  • Experienced Detective or Police Constable, Detective or Police Sergeant, Detective or Police Inspector and upwards, Police Staff Investigator or Civilian Investigator
