About the Role

We are seeking an experienced investigator to join our team as a Police Staff Investigator PIP Level 2. This role will involve a wide range of investigative activities, including statement taking, securing and reviewing CCTV, suspect interviewing, and full Officer in Case (OIC) duties.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to PIP 2 or equivalent, have proven experience of working within an investigatory type role, and have a working knowledge and experience of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out a wide range of investigative activities, including statement taking, securing and reviewing CCTV, suspect interviewing, and full Officer in Case (OIC) duties.
  • Assist other investigators with key case progression, such as disclosure reviews, redacting material, reviewing 3rd party data, and document scheduling.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives.
  • Develop and maintain resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Requirements
  • Qualified to PIP 2 or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of working within an investigatory type role.
  • Working knowledge and experience of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures.
