This position is responsible for the adaptation, implementation and development of a broad range of Environmental, Health and Safety programs, across several lab/ manufacturing and office facilities across EMEA (Affiliates or laboratories at our sites are managed by the local EHS teams). The development, harmonization, provision, implementation and monitoring of EHS standards, coordination with GMs and local external EHS experts & specialists at our affiliates and R&D centers is essential and integral part of this role. The position demonstrates competence across a variety of EHS disciplines while ensuring EHS compliance requirements are being reviewed and maintained at several CSL facilities.

Reporting to Head of Environment, Health and Safety and based at our Liverpool site.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring that all processes of the plant meet environmental control requirements and specifications of national and international agencies.
• Takes part in establishing and implementing Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Monitors and analyzes the environment by performing research and analysis activities to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Provides safety orientation and training on safety methods and equipment.
• Undertakes difficult projects, assessments and solutions.
• May direct or coach other professionals.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent NEBOSH
• Proven experience including experience at a manufacturing site.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Large pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing experience.
