Objective:

To lead business development initiatives within the Smart Building and PropTech market, focusing on forming new partnerships around core hardware solutions in Energy, Occupancy, and Environmental monitoring. Key Responsibilities:


Partner Identification and Engagement: Actively seek out and engage potential partners who can benefit from integrating Energy, Occupancy, and Environmental hardware into their solutions, thereby creating added value and generating recurring business.


Leadership and Strategic Direction: Provide leadership to the business development team, setting clear goals for identifying and securing new partnerships. Develop and implement strategies that align with product capabilities and market goals.


Sector Expertise: The ideal candidate must possess a strong existing knowledge of the market relevant to Smart Buildings, IoT, and PropTech. They are expected to maintain this knowledge at a high level, utilizing it to pinpoint opportunities and potential partners effectively. This expertise is critical for navigating the sector, understanding emerging trends, and identifying where solutions can address market needs.


Performance Monitoring: Set clear targets for new partnership development and recurring business success. Implement KPIs to gauge team progress, offering guidance and feedback to enhance performance. Success will be measured through clear, predefined KPIs related to partnership development, sales targets, and market expansion efforts.


Industry Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with key players in the Smart Buildings and PropTech market. Represent the organization at relevant industry events and conferences to network with potential partners and influencers.


Technical Competency: Must possess a technical understanding of smart building technologies, including familiarity with IoT, sensors, and data analytics platforms, enabling effective communication of technological advantages to potential partners and clients.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant experience in Smart Buildings, PropTech, or IoT is essential.
  • Must have previous Hardware sales experince
  • Proven success in business development, sales, or partnerships in Smart Building and PropTech sectors.
  • Strong market understanding to drive strategies and meet sales targets.
  • Leadership experience in guiding teams to achieve goals.
