This challenging and rewarding role as Financial Support Hub Senior Team Leader involves:

  • Supporting the wider business with Billing, Credit Control, Private Equity and other financial areas of support.
  • Working alongside the SSC Finance Hub Lead, to ensure work is both allocated and controlled effectively and ensure quality control is maintained.
  • Embedding a continuous improvement culture through effective monitoring and root cause analysis of errors and omissions.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and ensuring the team adheres to policies and regulation.
  • Handling internal queries and building relationships with colleagues and teams across BDO UK.
  • Leading training and development of the teams and colleagues to ensure we are ‘Helping all succeed’.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide and motivate the team towards achieving their objectives.
  • Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication within the team and with other stakeholders.
  • Make informed and timely decisions that benefit the team and align with organisational goals.
  • Identify issues promptly and implement effective solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Set clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, offering training and growth opportunities.
  • Be flexible and responsive to changing circumstances and priorities.

Technical Requirements and Professional Skills.

  • Strong people and team management experience.
  • Experience of managing multiple teams.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and other MS Office products.
  • Knowledge of billing and credit control/cash flow/purchase to pay beneficial.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision.
  • Willingness to get involved in ad hoc activities with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Strong understanding and dedication to client centricity.
  • Viewed by others as a trusted advisor and advocate.
