Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper Location: Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire (Flexible/ Fully Remote Working) MUST LIVE LOCALLY
Hours: 18 – 37.5 per week
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per year (Permanent, or 6-month FTC before Permanent)

My client is an accounting firm based in the Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire area. Their work environment promotes flexibility, including work-from-home days and on-the-job training.
They are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Office manager to join their team. This role is perfect for someone with a bookkeeping/ office manager background with experience in a practice setting.
This role offers adaptability for the right candidate, ideally with a minimum commitment of 18 hours per week. We foster a relaxed yet professional company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse range of clients using cloud software
Perform bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate financial records
Handle basic administrative duties
Review VAT Returns for compliance
Produce performance reports to provide valuable insights
Be a go to contact for clients and liaise internally as necessary
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping experience (required)
Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting practice (required)
Proficiency in Xero software (required)
