We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Observability Engineer with experience in optimizing and enabling the New Relic platform to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance of our applications and infrastructure.As an Observability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of systems.Key Responsibilities:Optimize and maintain the New Relic platform to ensure comprehensive observability across all applications and infrastructure.Implement best practices for monitoring and observability to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate observability practices into the development lifecycle.Provide training and support to team members on using New Relic tools and interpreting observability data.Required Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.3+ years of experience in observability engineering, performance monitoring, or a related role.Extensive experience with the New Relic platform, including APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, Browser Monitoring, and Synthetic Monitoring.Strong understanding of observability principles and practices, including metrics, logging, and tracing.Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform).Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).Preferred Qualifications:New Relic Certification(s).Experience with other observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)ECS Recruitment Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
