Role Overview:

  • Be responsible for transport diary across the business
  • Prepared to undertake FLT and manual handling training as will also support warehouse role 
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with transport/freight suppliers whilst managing documentation and customs compliance with a view to continuously improving our import/export processes to drive operational excellence
  • Develop and implement transportation policies, procedures, and standards
  • International fleet management and planning experience needed
  • Optimize transportation routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Monitor transportation expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures

Responsibilities include:

• Transport team general correspondence and administration, including suppliers and yards• The maintenance of central vehicle records for all vehicles and plant and updating paper and computerised filing systems• Dealing with incoming telephone calls

 What we need from you:

• Previous experience of working within a Transport environment• Excellent administration skills• Competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel• The ability to meet deadlines and multi-task, with great attention to detail• Great communication skills, both verbal and written• Flexible and able to adapt to change
