OverviewWe are looking for a paralegal to join our team and provide essential support to our Corporate department where you will receive fantastic growth opportunities including access to quality work client secondments off-site meetings and more.As a Corporate paralegal you will:Draft and prepare ancillary documents for corporate transactions using internal precedents.Manage Companies House filings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.Conduct legal research and present findings in a clear actionable format.Coordinate interdepartmental due diligence processes and manage virtual data rooms.Support client communications and contribute to high-profile deals.Handle your own caseload of files (where appropriate) from instruction to issuing proceedings and enforcement and under the supervision of a more senior fee earner.Deal wherever possible with routine client enquiries and communications.General administrative tasks to support fee earners including monthly reporting on cases for client purposes and invoicing of files.Deputise for fee earners in their absence if necessary passing urgent issues to another senior fee earner for guidance.Use the telephone to allow for quick response answers/client chasers.We are looking for:Hold a Law Degree or Law Conversion qualification.Have at least 6 months previous Corporate Paralegal experience. You will be a committed team player who is able to work towards strict deadlines. Be willing to fully comply with the completion of international matters (time zone difference sometimes requiring overtime). Be able to communicate confidently both verbally and written with senior team members.Have sufficient IT knowledge of Microsoft programmes with a particular focus on Excel.Be able to quickly identify clients needs and always provide excellent service.Effectively prioritise tasks based on importance and urgency.Act positively towards change and actively contribute to the delivery of departmental goals.Show enthusiasm and resilience even when in demanding situations to overcome challenges.Build strong working relationships with colleagues across multi departments.We have hybrid working options at Walker Morris; however a commitment to office-based working is beneficial in this role to enable you to provide a complete service to clients.Some of our benefits include:Competitive salary and annual performance-based bonus scheme.Minimum of 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays per year increasing to 31 days with length of service with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 days holiday per year.Auto enrolled into the workplace pension scheme and well contribute a minimum of 6% of your salary.4x your annual salary in the event of a death in service.Find out more about working at Walker Morris here.Company ValuesOur shared values represent our culture and the things that are important to us.
