The Legal Team is at the forefront of GoCardless' expansion. We must ensure that GoCardless adopts, implements and maintains forward-thinking and appropriate processes and controls, often coming across new challenges or issues that require innovative solutions.

What excites you

  • You will be an integral part of a collaborative and rapidly growing legal team at a fast-paced fintech scale-up. As a member of a busy legal team you will also contribute to team-wide initiatives and work with people from across our geos and get to learn a lot of new skills along the way.
  • Being the first port of call for a broad range of paralegal tasks from all business functions of a high-growth fintech scale-up
  • Managing the inflow of legal matters by answering basic queries from across the business and involving other members of the legal team as appropriate
  • Administrative tasks that require precision and quick thinking – triaging tickets, helping with setting up documents for signatures and other tasks that leave a big impact
  • Assisting with building out and maintaining self-help tools, playbooks and guides for the legal team and for the wider business
  • Helping members of the team with ad-hoc projects such as legal research, product launches, corporate projects and IP matters
  • An opportunity to work in a global team spanning different countries

What excites us

  • You have experience working as a Paralegal in a leading commercial law firm or in-house
  • You have a good understanding of the legal principles as well as the local law, experience in drafting agreements, corporate documents would be considered as an advantage
  • You are used to working independently and proactively on a variety of projects simultaneously, and can effectively prioritise, you are not afraid to think out of the box and adopt decisions when needed
  • You are easy to work with and are an effective communicator and want to work in a fun, fast-growing but demanding young company
  • Learning new things and precision is your second nature, you are tech-savvy and have a sense of how efficiency in processes is driven

Base salary range: £27,976 - £37,200

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point (£27,976 - £31,000) of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
