About Takis: Takis is more than just a snack—it’s a global sensation Known for its bold, intense flavours and iconic rolled shape, Takis has captured the hearts of snack enthusiasts worldwide. Originating in Mexico, these fiery snacks are famous for their crunchy texture and unique taste, combining tangy lime with spicy chili pepper. With the launch of this new factory in Mexborough, Takis will become even more accessible to UK consumers, marking an exciting milestone for the brand.

Position Overview: We are looking for skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Engineers to join the team at this brand-new facility. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be critical in maintaining and optimizing the production machinery, ensuring the smooth operation of the plant. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking project, where your expertise will contribute directly to the success of the UK’s first Takis production site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine scheduled PPMs (Planned Preventive Maintenance) and respond promptly to equipment faults and breakdowns, ensuring all tasks are documented.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery, gaining in-depth knowledge to train other team members effectively.
  • Adapt and grow with the company, embracing innovative ideas and new ways of working.
  • Diagnose breakdowns and apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to resolve issues effectively.
  • Fit new parts as needed and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly post-maintenance.
  • Conduct quality inspections on completed jobs to uphold the highest standards.
  • Manage the engineering stores, ensuring all parts are accurately booked out against relevant assets and jobs.
  • Handle emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs, as well as support new installations.

Desired Experience:

  • Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ-based) or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance.
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  • Ideally, possess a Level 2 Food Safety qualification or above.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of health and safety protocols.
  • Experience working with specialist equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and servos.
  • FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry experience is highly desirable.
