Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Mexborough, South Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to work with a well-established manufacturer.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to carry out routine scheduled PPMs, respond to equipment faults and breakdowns, and diagnose problems using Root Cause Analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety policies and procedures and be able to work with specialist equipment such as PLCs and servos.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine scheduled PPMs and respond promptly to equipment faults and breakdowns
  • Diagnose problems using Root Cause Analysis and rectify them
  • Fit new parts and ensure equipment is working correctly
  • Complete quality inspections on jobs
  • Use engineering stores correctly and ensure all parts are booked out against the relevant assets/jobs
  • Deal with emergencies and unplanned problems and repairs
  • Recognise opportunities to improve health and safety policies and procedures and put forward suggestions
  • Work with specialist equipment such as PLCs and servos
  • Follow all site procedures, including safety, engineering, hygiene, and technical
  • Conduct duties with a Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks
Requirements:
  • Level 3 (City & Guilds or NVQ based) or above in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Ideal Level 2 food safety qualification or above
  • Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety
  • Previous experience of working with specialist equipment such as PLCs and servos
  • FMCG experience
