Pertemps are working with a company based in Wolverhampton who have an opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis.Supporting 2 Buyers, your duties will include:• Expediting purchase orders with suppliers.• Working to maintain excellent in stock levels to meet business requirements.• Work with warehouse team regarding delivery discrepancies.• Processing vendor returns – including communications with all relevant functions internally and externally to completion. • Managing team inboxes – both following through requests to completion and identifying & assigning tasks to team.• Updating and maintaining ERP/MRP system data.• Updating and maintaining price files in ERP/MRP system.• Checking and processing order acknowledgments, ensuring data on system is kept up to date.• Building relationship with internal stakeholders.• Working with and assisting procurement team with other associated tasks.Required Skills:• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.• Excellent organisational and time management skills.• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact and build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.• Team-player mentality and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.• Previous experience with SAP, beneficial but not essential.This is an office based role working monday to friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
