Role Overview

As an Asset and Invoice Finance Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by identifying, engaging, and securing clients who require asset finance and invoice finance solutions. This role combines strategic prospecting, relationship building, and expert consultation to deliver tailored financial solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and engage potential clients through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor for asset and invoice finance needs.
  • Consultative Selling: Assess client challenges, business models, and funding requirements to recommend suitable financial products.
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth expertise in the company’s asset finance and invoice finance products and services.
  • Negotiation: Structure, present, and negotiate finance agreements, ensuring terms align with client objectives and company standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including credit, operations, and compliance, to ensure seamless delivery of finance solutions.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, pipelines, and client interactions in CRM systems.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role. Proven track record in sales within asset finance, invoice finance, or a related field such as commercial lending or equipment finance.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of invoice discounting, factoring, asset finance, and broader financial products.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
  • Sales Expertise: A results-driven mindset with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent networking skills with the ability to engage with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to identify client challenges and provide tailored financial solutions.
  • Technology: Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Education: A degree in finance, business, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
