Oliver Wyman is looking for an Executive Assistant (EA) in our Newcastle office


This role reports to the London Executive Assistant Team Manager and the hours are 9:00am-6:00pm (including a one-hour lunch break) - we operate a hybrid working environment where we expect our people to work from our Newcastle office for 60% of the time.


The Role:


As Executive Assistant you will provide executive level administrative support to up to 3 Partners. You will be responsible for supporting Partners on all aspects of daily administration, including diary management, scheduling internal and external meetings, conference calls, video conferences and making international travel and accommodation arrangements.


Executive Assistants at Oliver Wyman also play a pivotal role in supporting Partners with client development and marketing activities. You will become familiar with their clients and their sales goals, Practice themes and Oliver Wyman ‘products’, enabling you to: confidently arrange client meetings, to maintain the list of client contacts and business activities in the CRM database and to also track and maintain sales activity/pipeline.


The Partners will also entrust you to proactively identify clients that have not been contacted or met recently and to optimise client meetings whilst travelling in another international location, as well as to customise client mailings and to prepare client proposals.


Who are we looking for?


  • You'll have a minimum of three years’ experience working in an administrative or customer service position.
  • Experience in management consultancy, financial services, and/or a similar professional services industry a plus.
  • Strong service focus – you'll be dedicated to meeting the expectations of all staff through securing effective relationships with clients and executing deliverables to the highest standards
  • You'll have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to deal with people at all levels across a multicultural environment.
  • Experience of using a CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics, in particular) is highly desirable
