Reimagine the possibilities.Your role and responsibilitiesresponding to planning consultations on behalf of the Local Highway Authority that will involve liaising with a variety of people internally and externally to agree design principles for new developmentyou will work to secure infrastructure improvements to mitigate the impact of development using your skills and experience of highways and planningYoull play a key role in enhancing transport accessibility for all in Suffolk.You will needpassion for promoting high standards of sustainable transport in new developments by influencing a wide audience as to the benefits for the people of Suffolkthe ability to work within procedures and guidelines and delivering to set timescalesan understanding of highway design and construction and relevant sections of the Highway Actto be capable of representing the team at meetings with internal and external organisations (as appropriate) to provide expert advice in area of work sometimes in challenging circumstances.You can view a full list of requirements in theJob and Person Profile (docx).If you believe you can succeed in this role apply. This includes Development Management ensuring new developments are sustainable in highway terms to support Suffolks growth ambitions.
