We have an exciting opportunity for a Controller / Dispatcher to join our team based in Suffolk.

As a dispatcher you will be responsible for planning and controlling the daily movement of medically eligible patients to and from NHS Healthcare facilities via non-emergency patient transport ambulances.

**Your duties will include**:

- Planning and controlling of daily ambulance journeys transporting medically eligible patients to and from NHS healthcare facilities.
- Controlling a complex operation consisting of over 75 ambulances delivering 550 patient journeys per day.

**Essential criteria**
- Good telephone manner
- Be customer service focused and able to effectively handle sensitive situations
- Have a good geographic knowledge of the county
- Be able to stay calm under pressure
- Ability to take initiative
- Working effectively as a part of a team

**Desired criteria**
- Good knowledge and understanding of the geographical area covered
- Experience of working in similar transport control environment, using logístical and planning skills
- Be familiar with computerized route planning software
