**The Vacancy**

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to take the next step in their career, as Controller/ Planner/ Dispatcher within our Suffolk contract.

**Your duties will include**:
As a Controller you will be planning and controlling the daily movement of non-emergency medically eligible patients to and from NHS Healthcare facilities. The standard hours of operation for the control function are Monday to Sunday between 06:00 - 00:00.

**The post holder will work an average of 40 hours a week: typically 4 days on, 4 days off.**

**Essential criteria**
- Experience of working in similar transport control environment, using logístical and planning skills
- Be comfortable using a variety of IT systems with full training provided
- Working effectively as a part of the team
- Be customer service focused and able to effectively handle sensitive situations
- Be able to stay calm under pressure
- Ability to take initiative
- Good telephone manner

**Desired criteria**
- Experience of controlling, dispatching and planning NEPTS (Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service) journeys
- Good knowledge and understanding of the geographical area

**In return permanent staff will receive**
- £11.68 per hour
- 224 hours of pro-rota annual leave (including Bank Holidays)
