Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our VGO Growth Office. VGO Growth Office is in charge to enable and unlock long term market share acceleration for Valvoline, of which the Global Business Development team will take lead on identifying, nurturing and capturing Inorganic expansion opportunities both independently and in synergy with the broader Aramco Downstream organization. This Business Development role will focus on deeply understanding key strategic and opportunistic markets, building a strong pipeline of inorganic opportunities, identifying, developing, and co-leading M&A, equity investment, and joint venture opportunities in partnership with corporate development and key functional and business stakeholders.


How You’ll Make An Impact

In the role, you would be responsible to:

  • Lead development of inorganic strategy (objectives and goals) for transport lube in selected markets by leading market research and providing intelligence to key internal stakeholders to align the strategic direction
  • Develop M&A, equity investment and JV partner target selection criteria and process and work with internal cross function team and investment bankers and consulting agents, to identify and evaluate potential acquisition deals
  • Support corporate development team in financial modeling and valuation analysis, including transaction structure, negotiation strategy, due diligence and integration, leading all strategic and commercial aspects of the deal includingbusiness plans/forecasts, growth acceleration and synergies.
  • Collaborate with key regional and functional leaders to co-create new or refined business models to maximize Valvoline’s market share across key regions for the next 10 years.
  • Drive internal decision-making and approval processes, timeline, and key deliverables, monitor and track project pipeline and progress
  • Support Business Development team members in other projects and provide regional Business Development presence coverage
  • In this role there is an expectancy of 50% travel


What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance, or a similar degree
  • 8+ years of experience in Transport lube industry with in-depth understanding of the channel and KA management, market competition trends, senior Sales & Marketing and/or Supply Chain background preferred;
  • Consulting background in business development/M&A
  • 5+ years of experience in M&A, Business Development, Strategic Consulting, with strong strategic thinking and negotiating abilities, financial & analytical skills, track record facilitating and closing M&A transactions preferred;
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to work well with others across functions, levels, and geographies;
  • Strong project management skills.
