At Mime we're passionate about helping our government, charity and other not-for-profit clients improve outcomes through better use of data, and we've got a new role in our friendly team for a like-minded, high performing technical leader. Whether it's through improving educational outcomes, or identifying groups most at risk of fuel poverty, it's our team’s ability to process and analyse data, and clearly convey insights, that enables our clients to take meaningful action. We're looking for a Senior Technical Consultant who can evidence deep technical expertise alongside an aptitude for developing team members and building client relationships and shares our desire to solve social challenges through technology.


What You'll Do:


As a Senior Technical Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in our team, driving technical projects, mentoring junior staff and building strong client relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions, from designing database schemas to automating data processes and building interactive dashboards.
  • Team Development: Mentor and manage junior analysts, ensuring high technical standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Client Collaboration: Engage directly with clients, gathering requirements, crafting tailored solutions, and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Business Growth: Contribute to the expansion of our services, especially in dashboard design, process automation, and our groundbreaking Single Child Index platform.


Who We're Looking For:

We seek a talented and motivated individual with:

  • Proven Experience: Extensive experience managing technical projects and client relationships, ideally in the public or non-profit sector.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of database design, SQL, and proficiency in coding languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) or automation tools.
  • Leadership Skills: A passion for mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Client Focus: Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Social Impact Mindset: A shared commitment to using technology for good, making a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Our Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £60k - £65k per annum, depending on experience.
