Role Overview:we are seeking a Billing and Benefits Officer to manage Council Tax billing, Housing Benefit, and Local Council Tax Support assessments. This hybrid role requires office attendance approximately once a week, ensuring timely and accurate administration of tax bills and benefits in line with legal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Council Tax billing and benefits processes.
  • Ensure compliance with tax/benefits legislation.
  • Update property and taxpayer databases.
  • Validate exemptions, discounts, and benefits claims.
  • Liaise with internal teams and handle customer queries.

Requirements:

  • Experience in benefits administration.
  • Knowledge of Council Tax and Housing Benefits laws.
  • Strong communication and data management skills.
