Job Title: Council Tax Revenue Officer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve complex council tax cases, ensuring accurate billing and collection
  • Monitor payment arrangements and take appropriate action to recover overdue amounts
  • Communicate with customers in a timely and professional manner, providing guidance and answering inquiries
  • Collaborate with other teams to share information and improve processes
  • Identify and report potential fraud cases
  • Assist with the implementation of new systems and procedures as required
  • Stay up to date with legislation and attend training sessions as necessary
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a local government setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
