Overview

Waters are seeking a Product Support Planner to join the Wilmslow team on a 9 month FTC.

This role is a challenging and engaging position for someone looking to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with key local stakeholders and communicating with a global team to ensure we place the right product in the right place.

This would suit someone with SAP experience, with good problem solving, excellent communication and analytical skills. Looking to work within a great supply chain and planning team here at the state of the art offices in Wilmslow.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities, not limited to:
  • Review of Engineering Change Requests giving due consideration to all the implications arising from the engineering change process.
  • Compile an implementation plan to ensure that the intent of the change is enacted.
  • Work with suppliers to provide them with current and relevant documentation.
  • Maintenance of the business system regarding additions and modifications to engineering structures/production structures and material master data.
  • Creation and maintenance of bills of materials within SAP and associated records.
  • Create and maintain material records within SAP and associated records.
  • Dispatch engineering drawings.
  • Issue documents via the document database for elements required by the company Quality Systems.
  • Produce Engineering Change Requests to provide information for the transition of documents into the supply chain and keep the business system updated.
  • Work with suppliers to provide them with current and relevant documentation.
  • Ensures engineering/development projects progress in a timely fashion within the guidelines set by the Marketing Requirements Documents, in accordance with the Manufacturing Plan and the availability of design information.
  • The administration of manufacturing information held within P-BOM data, including changes to this data. Assist, where/when required to support other Product / Production Planning functions in support of business need.

System Management
  • Maintenance of all UK50/UKR1 SAP Master data in conjunction with Design Engineering, Engineering Change, Product Definition
  • Administrate and maintain the ERP system

Qualifications

  • Educated to at A Level Standard or equivalent.
  • The ability to communicate concisely, with people at all levels of the organisation and with subcontractors, orally and in writing.
  • Good system problem solving.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems.
  • Ability to prioritise and work unsupervised.
  • Accuracy and concentration are crucial.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel, Office, Access or similar software packages.
  • Ability to see bigger picture for strategic decisions.
