Temporary contract

£14 to £18 per hour - Depending on experience

Are you a professional and experienced HR Advisor available immediately for a temporary assignment?

We are looking for an organised and efficient HR Advisor/ Generalist to provide a professional support service to managers and employees of a large organisation for a temporary contract of 3 months.

You will be working as part of a large, busy HR department where no two days will be the same. This is a varied role where your main duties will be:

  • Providing advice and assistance on staff-related generalist operational issues such as terms and conditions of service, flexible working, maternity, adoption, paternity, employment breaks and annual leave
  • Managing a caseload of employee relations issues in relation to: sickness absence cases; investigations into conduct, grievance or performance concerns
  • Arranging formal meetings and investigations with multiple stakeholders
  • Supporting the preparation and implementation of organisational changes in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Advising managers on aspects of the pay banding and job evaluation process
  • Contributing to and analysing relevant monthly Workforce reports
  • Maintaining accurate records including formal HR case files and electronic staff records
  • Auditing personnel and case files in line with requirements of the relevant policy

This role is perfect for an experienced HR Advisor/ Generalist who is ideally CIPD qualified at Level 5 or 7. Experience of participating in formal HR meetings with understanding of relevant legislation is essential, as well as the ability to analyse complex information and to be a confident user of Microsoft packages.

The role is office based Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week, and is a temp contract to start ASAP until the end of September 2024.
