At The HR Booth, we work in partnership with our clients, taking great care and attention to understand our clients business, culture and people. We offer commercial advice and solutions, supporting SME businesses across Scotland and the UK in many sectors and industries, supporting all aspects of HR.
Our client, a manufacturing business in East Kilbride, are looking for us to provide a HR Advisor to work in their business to help drive forward their HR strategy.

**Main purpose of the role**
This role will be very varied, working directly with Directors, Managers and Team Leads in providing essential HR support, as well as encouraging a positive culture and employee initiatives to engage our staff.
The HR Advisor will have support from an outsourced HR team, so although this is an onsite position, this is not a standalone HR role.
**Responsibilities**
- Support the with any day-to-day HR queries
- Provide support in the day-to-day HR function, responding to colleagues where necessary
- Providing accurate and appropriate advice on HR policies and procedures to all colleagues
- Analyse employee statistics such as absences, staff turnover and engagement
- Lead or support disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings, ensuring compliance, best practice and company procedures are upheld
- Completing onboarding and induction for all new employees
- Proactively managing absences, misconduct or other HR issues
- Accurately processing and updating of HR systems
- Organise training and co-ordinate the performance management process
**Qualifications**
- Previous demonstrable HR Experience at an Advisory or Senior level
- CIPD qualified
- Previous experience working in an SME within the manufacturing industry or similar is preferred though not essential
- Problem solving skills, ability to address challenges with creative and practical solutions
- Ability to coach Managers towards successful business outcomes
