Venn Group are currently working with an organisation in Cambridge to recruit a Digital Communications Officer. This is a full-time role on a 6-month fixed term contract, with a possibility to extend.

The role is pivotal in shaping the digital presence of an initiative. This role demands a dynamic professional who can craft compelling digital content, manage social media platforms, oversee website functionality, and produce engaging video content.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design a comprehensive visual strategy, including the creation of static graphics to simplify complex information. Produce concise and engaging videos using Adobe Creative Cloud to highlight initiatives and achievements.
  • Effective social media management involving regular content updates to maintain audience engagement and consistent messaging.
  • Enhance the digital presence and performance of the Hub. This includes the diligent uploading of content, ensuring it reflects the latest information and adheres to the provided training guidelines. Additionally, you will contribute to the website's development on the WordPress platform, focusing on elevating the user experience and ensuring accessibility standards are met.
  • Guide the SEO optimization process, where you will implement best practices to boost the visibility of articles and content.
  • Coordinate podcast recording schedules and manage invites, as well as assess audio files and guide technicians for quality edits.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in digital communications, social media management, graphic design, and video production.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and other digital analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems, particularly WordPress.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and tools.
