**Cambridge Muslim College was established in 2009 to develop and disseminate Muslim thought leadership through world-class education, training and research based on dialogue between the Islamic tradition and the circumstances of the modern world. It currently offers a full time BA in Islamic Studies validated by the Open University, a Diploma in Contextual Islamic Studies and Leadership and an online Diploma in Islamic Psychology. It also organises and delivers a wide range of Continuing Education programmes for the general public.**

**JOB PURPOSE**

The Digital Communications Coordinator will support the development, marketing and

delivery of the College’s educational programmes, research activities and other activities.

This role involves pro-active management of the College’s digital platforms to maintain a

standard of excellence and ensure that the ethos, vision and mission of the College are

reflected in public communications.

The Digital Communications Coordinator is responsible for working with the

Communications team to strengthen the College’s institutional identity and growing the

College’s social media presence across multiple digital channels. The role is responsible

for creating and implementing a content plan and maintaining ongoing community

deep understanding of social media and communication platforms and how to use them

to develop connections and enhance engagement with multiple audiences and

stakeholders.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Act as first line of response for general enquiries on all digital platforms, dealing with them in a timely manner.
- Manage and implement execution of the College’s communications & marketing strategy.
- Run social channels on a day-to-day basis, responding to queries engaging with the audience.
- Work with college departments to ensure accurate programme information is disseminated across all digital channels.
- Work closely with key stakeholders from across the College to plan and execute campaign launches as well as events, publications and delivering plans for social activity.
- Edit and proofread all communication and marketing materials.
- Ensure all digital communications are consistent with the college's brand guidelines and uphold its reputation.
- Serve as point person for the development and maintenance of print collateral or digital products (e.g. brochures, annual reports, cards, etc.) in collaboration with college teams.
- Take on specific limited-time projects as agreed
- Foster and maintain relationships with the college's online community, responding to inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Run social channels on a day-to-day basis, responding to queries as necessary.
- Develop a content schedule for relevant and evergreen posts.
- Review digital assets to identify quotes, themes and develop content.
- Draft and publish posts, create pages, edit content, fix broken links, and review website site
- to ensure it is up-to-date and accurate.
- Create copy and metadata for digital assets for programmes, events and activities.
- Capture and deliver develop live posts for key programmes and events.
- Develop and optimise digital and social media outputs, including text, images, video and audio to reach wide-ranging audiences, including as part of larger campaigns which require coordination with other teams.
- Liaise with students, faculty, staff, research fellows, and alumni to gather content with an eye to build a wider support base.
- Spot trends and advise on best social media content and new technologies.
- Researching and maintaining awareness of comparative accounts, relevant, funders, and high-impact hashtags.
- Support engagement with our mailing list, including writing and scheduling mailshots, updating and maintaining list segments.
- Drafting and publishing posts, creating pages, editing content, fixing broken links, and reviewing website site content to ensure it is up-to-date and accurate.
- Supporting the management of website media libraries, and the publicly accessible online resource library.
- Support the management of content on the online learning platform.
- Develop and manage a system for organising, categorising, and tagging written and visual content to ease the sharing of diversified content through digital channels.
- Track and assess social media metrics, insights, and best practices to improve our reach and engagement with key audiences and efficiency of online activity across all platforms.
- Present reports at meetings when needed.
