You will be joining our Tendering team and your role is internally referred to as Tender Support. Our team supports the growth and retention of our UK clients. Your role will be to provide support to Pelican’s tender team throughout the tendering process. To work closely with internal stakeholders and directly with clients and suppliers. To provide administrative support with public procurement tenders, update and publish notices and ensure that we are supporting clients to remain legally compliant.


You will come from an administrative, analytical background. You will have dealt with suppliers and customers as part of your role. You will enjoy building strong internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone with a creative commercial mindset who loves learning everyday and is open to coming up with creative ideas to help our customers.


What's the job

  • Support the supplier tender submissions process, ensuring submissions are acknowledged and appropriately managed within agreed systems and timescales
  • Contribute to the delivery of a programme of professional, transparent, and impartial supplier tenders, request for quotations and direct negotiations
  • Support with price comparison exercises and project fact finds
  • Partner with Tender Managers in pre-tender supplier engagement sessions
  • Liaise with the Pi (purchasing intelligence) team to ensure that the successful supplier can provide electronic invoice line data in the correct format and timelines
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth contract mobilisation
  • Supporting with post award supplier engagement to create a new contract pack
  • Post award – supporting in various administrative tasks relating to public procurement contract management, publishing of notices, tender portal management and coordinating with internal stakeholders

  • Comfortable with some UK travel
