Job Description:

As a Client Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and nurturing client relationships while overseeing their financial affairs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong and long-lasting relationships built on trust and professionalism.
  • Proactively communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide guidance, and address any concerns or queries they may have.
  • Regularly review client accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with their financial goals.

2. Financial Advisory Services:

  • Provide expert financial advice and strategic guidance to clients on various matters, including tax planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customised solutions that optimise clients' financial performance and mitigate risks.
  • Stay updated on relevant tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to offer informed recommendations to clients.

3. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
  • Coordinate with other departments within the firm, such as tax, audit, and advisory, to deliver comprehensive services and solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for cross-selling services and expanding the firm's client base.

4. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and procedures in all client engagements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and quality checks on client deliverables to maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Implement best practices and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in client management processes.

5. Business Development:

  • Actively participate in business development activities, including networking events, seminars, and industry conferences, to generate leads and acquire new clients.
  • Leverage your existing network and relationships to identify potential opportunities for business growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with the firm's leadership to develop strategic initiatives and marketing campaigns aimed at attracting new clients and increasing revenue.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. CA or ACCA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in client management, preferably within the accounting or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving results.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
