Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Legal Costs to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our legal costs strategy, working closely with our Managing Director to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve business objectives
    • Manage and analyze financial data to inform business decisions
  • Legal Costs Management
    • Oversee the preparation of bills and schedules of costs for detailed assessment by the Court or Arbitration Tribunal
    • Develop and implement processes to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of financial professionals to achieve business objectives
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Experience
    • At least 8 years of experience in claimant costs, including supervisory experience
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Strong IT skills, including in-depth knowledge of Costsmaster
    • Strong billing track record
  • Education
    • Relevant qualifications in finance or a related field
